The end of the weekend

Does anyone enjoy the last hours of the weekend?
I don't XD I just hate it when I wake up Sunday morning, knowing that I have to go to work the next morning. Always ruins my good mood a tad:(

Anyway, this weekend has been great!
My boyfriend and i went out to eat on Egon (the new restaurant that opened here in Tromsø) Friday night. Afterwards we drove to my great grandmothers house, two hours away from the city we live in. We arrive quite late at night, but my little brother was still awake, welcoming us. Then we went to bed.
I spent Saturday morning taking photos of my little sister. Trying to make her pose. Which was quite difficult, since she didn't like it that much and got this grim look in her face. So after 150 Pictures, I gave up. Although some of the pictures became good. Instead I took some self portraits which turned out interesting:)

Other than that, I've been practicing with retouching.
Quite different, but also really fun! You learn so much, really!
We ate a lot of good food on Saturday evening. And I know I promised myself to draw, which I didn't on Saturday! BUT... I did today! Hah... I'm quite proud of my self and I think the drawing may turn out good, if I take it slow;) I also studied some Japanese in the car on our way home. But I got really tired... Guess I feel a little bad about that.
These days, I'm planning some photos. I'm searching for some good models. Girls with dark hair and light skin. Need to do some research tomorrow. I also have to sew a dress for the photo project and find a nifty location.
yup yup! Also have a lot of other stuff on my mind. Still don't have any place to live in Oslo... Well, don't want to think about it just yet!;)
Enjoy!

Pictures with Liv Elin and my new drawing!

Here you'll have a new update!
These past few days have been quite busy with work, my boyfriend and workout. The weather is still cold outside and I can't wear any nice summer clothes. Which is a shame. I'm absolutely looking forward to moving to a warmer place!
I'm so sick of work now. I seriously hate my job. I'm just waiting for the weekend to come. And when it does, it over in a wink. It's gonna be a long time until I'm gonna work in a daycare. Really looking forward to this weekend. Spending time with my boyfriend and family. Although I'm gonna miss my best friend, Liv-Elin.
We had so much fun today. When we got home from work, we cooked dinner and talked. Then we decided to arrange a little photo session with exiting make-up. It was so much fun! I used green colors and green feathers as eyelashes. I love green! It's such a refreshing color!

I'll try to take some photos this weekend, and I will try to finish this drawing I've started! I'm illustrating "insanity". Got this strange idea! I will finish it in gray scale. Pencil drawing. I need to do something traditional I think!

Some tea drinking, me trying my last years summer dress. Which is too big now O.o And my new drawing, sketch though!:) That was it for today. I need to go to bed now. Been up too late these last evenings! Nighty!

Drawings and conclutions.

The night fell upon me once again!
I've just finished my second ice coffee this evening, and now it's time to go to bed. No surprise when I say I'm not tired eyh? Anyway, I can't say this day started out good!
I woke up 3pm. way too late! Ole Morten and I ordered pizza and watched Sweeney Todd and Juno. I must admit, none of the movies impressed me. *sigh*
I've been drawing today. I continued on the drawing I started yesterday. The bad thing is that I get in bad mood when I draw. It wasn't like this before, you know? I was alway happy drawing some years back. I really don't know why this has happened. I think I have higher expectations now. I really get annoyed when the drawings don't turn out the way I want. Also, before, I always drew things without any form of reference.
I always though reference was like cheating and that the drawing wasn't going ti be as original. I was really against using reference but now, I must admit that if I want to improve. I really need to use reference. If I don't, my drawings get to simple because I lack of information. When I was at the age of 14 I often copied other artists drawings, and therefor improved. I "saved" information on how to draw for example anatomy. After some years, I felt good enough to manage without copying other artists drawings. But I really need to start doing it again. You learn so much doing it. And then again understand so many different things. You also get aware of how to draw things you can't.
For a period now, I think I'll only copy other artists drawings to improve. Perspective is a must. I suck drawing perspective. I use John Howe and Allan Lee's drawings as reference these days.
Here are some pictures from today:

Photo shoot and a sketch!

Heyas!
Today has been a lovely day! The sun was shining outside the window when I woke up with my boyfriend this morning :)
A friend of mine, Pia, came over to my place after some hours. We walked the dog and talked about various things. Girl stuff, like usual. Since Pia was going to a party later I wanted to do her make-up and hair. And just for fun, take a fast photo shoot of her. Some of the pictures turned out really cute! I just love my camera! I feel addicted <3

Pia Entner.

Pia Entner

Look how cute she turned out! Was really fun to do her make-up! I hope someone gives her a compliment this evening/night!
After she left, another friend came over. He is called the "Jewlery Maker!" Cute name, although his real name is Bent Are. We've just had a really long talk, ate strawberries, drank ice coffee and went walking the dog. Who by the way, opened the door and ran away for an hour or something like that.

I planned to draw a drawing today, which I did! Although I almost got insanely mad for a second when the drawing looked awful. But I got myself together and tried several more times. Finally I got a good result after all. The bad thing is that I'm so incredible slow drawing, so it takes too long time to draw a drawing! But I've promised myself to finish this drawing! It's about time.

Here are the self portraits!

inspiration in the night!

I'm sitting in the living room with my boyfriend. It's 02:51 Am, and we're still awake. Kind of strange really. Usually, he's the one who wants to be up late at night.
And when I want to do that, he is tired. Even though he has slept for 12 hours and I for 6. This is unusual for me I must admit. But I guess it's because of the midnight sun and the lack of dark in the night! I don't think I'll ever get used to these bright summer nights. I really don't want to go to bed in the summer weekends.
There are so many things I want to do these days, I can't decide what to do from day to day. It is so difficult! I really feel like I need to get my hands on a new drawing or painting really soon, but it seems like I only have eyes for Photos these days. Also my Japanese is going really slow now. I was supposed to know all the Kanji's in the chapter I'm working with now. It is frustrating, a lot of the Kanji's are so alike. Sometimes I can't see the difference and sometimes I just mixed them. The words I'm practicing is really simple to remember. Wish it was like that with Kanji too! *sigh* I need to get myself together and read some Japanese before I'm attending the university this autumn!
My Boyfriend ( Ole Morten) and I went jogging today. Compared to last year we went jogging, I'm extremely positive and it's not as hard before. I really hope we will keep on jogging, it's good for us. I'll try to work out every other day from now. That may be too much, but who knows.
My big plan for this evening was to draw a black and white pencil drawing. But hey... I had a little self portrait photo shoot instead. I wore on of the dresses I bought in Japan. It's is really cool, but I don't think I'll get the chance to use it here. It's so damn cold, I want to use mittens every day. The wind is freezing and the sun don't help much! It's a disaster! When in the world am I supposed to wear all those clothes from Japan? Maybe the cold weather isn't the biggest problem though... The people living here in this deserted city would take me for a whore if I wore those clothes from Japan. I guess it will be different when I move to Oslo.
I tried these loooong nails I bought in japan, which all the japanese girls wear all day. It's crazy! How in the world can they do anything with their hands? My boyfriend had to do everything for me! They are way too long compared to the glue-on-nails here in Norway. The Japanese girls are really amazing... Long nails, which for me, is impossible to use. and at least 10cm high healed shoes O.o I've tried to figure out how they can do all this but I really don't understand it. I'm dying after one hours with high healed shoes! I'll write more about the Japanese fashion later. Think my boyfriend, who's sitting beside me is really tired now. So I'll end my blog with this!
One day, I'll upload some pictures with all the clothes I bought in Japan :D

Welcome myself^^

Hello there!
I decided to start a blog. Finally! I've never understood this Blog thing so I'm gonna give it a try!
I thought perhaps, it would be great to have a little diary here on blogspot. I really don't know if it's gonna be like a real diary but something like that.
Also, this is a great opportunity for my far away friends to read what my days are like, and what I'm doing while I'm not near them. As you all know, phone calls are really really expensive.
I will submit my love for art here. So I'll update after a while. When I've got started here!
